The week ahead: Sip N Shop, Ugly Sweater Party

Raleigh, N.C. — Some events to help get you through the workweek:
Operation Christmas Comedy Showcase - Tir na Nog's weekly comedy showcase will be featuring a mix of local and regional comedians starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free but there is a suggested donation of one new, unwrapped toy. All donations are going to children at local hospitals.
Burn calories for Stop Hunger Now on Tuesday at Orangetheory Fitness, which has locations in Chapel Hill and Morrisville. Each location is donating one penny for each calorie burned from all classes combined that day. Anyone interested in burning some calories should book their class - the first one is free! And it is a great calorie burn!
Sip N Shop at Raleigh Brewing - Get some of that holiday shopping done from 5-8 p.m. There will be eight to 10 local vendors on hand, beer and live music. Admission is free.
Celebrate the grand opening of Smashburger's north Raleigh location with some snow! There will be flurries, games, giveaways and great food! And for the first three days the restaurant is open, local owners are donating 10 percent of total proceeds to Communities in Schools of Wake County.
Head to Raleigh Little Theatre for its annual production of the musical comedy "Cinderella." Tickets are $33.
Santa Charity Bar Crawl - Carolina Nightlife hosts this annual event that will help raise money for a local family in need. It all happens Friday night at 8 p.m. at Rum Runners. Tickets are $15 in advance and $25 the day-off. You can get a $10 discount if you bring a new, unwrapped toy. The crawl is only open to those 21 years and older.
Ugly Sweater Party at White Street - Break out that ugly sweater for White Street Brewery's annual Ugly Sweater Party Friday night. A prize will be given for the ugliest sweater. There will be live music from Andy Coats and the Bank Walkers, food from Cockadoodlemoo truck and brews! The event is from 7-10:30 p.m. at the Wake Forest brewery.
