RALEIGH, N.C. — Here are our picks to get you through this holiday week:

Monday

Go to a movie with your family. See Pixar's "Inside Out" or the touching dog-centric film "Max."

Tuesday

Have a girls night out and see Channing Tatum in "Magic Mike XXL", which hits theaters tonight. Or if you are more of am action fan the film "Terminator Genisys" opens tonight as well.

Wednesday

The Rolling Stones and the Avett Brothers play N.C. State's Carter-Finley Stadium tonight. Tickets are still available.
More music tonight: Pat Benatar plays Carolina Theatre of Durham. Tickets start at $40.

Thursday

Village Lanes in Durham hosts the Pins and Needles comedy series tonight with headliner - the very funny Thomas Dixon. Tickets are $5 and doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Also, the Move Live Tour with Julianne and Derek Hough hits the Red Hat Amphitheater tonight.
And the Midtown Beach Music Series continues with Too Much Sylvia at North Hills. This free show starts at 6:30 p.m. in the commons area.

Friday

Start celebrating Independence Day a little early with fireworks in Garner and Wake Forest
