The week ahead: pop-up dinner, Cheap Trick

The American Meltdown food truck was on hand for this special cheese edition of the Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market.

Monday: Enjoy a low-key evening with Mystery Brewing's Tabletop Night. Play some board games while drinking delicious beer!

Tuesday: This evening rock band Cheap Trick is performing at the Carolina Theatre in Durham.

Dean's Seafood in Cary is hosting a New Zealand Wine Dinner this evening. 

Wednesday: 70s rock band Steely Dan heads to Red Hat Amphitheater for a show.

Thursday: Market Street Coffee House in Chapel Hill and American Meltdown are teaming up for "Botta": An Italian Pop-Up Dinner this evening. They've created a unique Italian menu, and tickets are $50.

Two free community concerts are this evening: Music in the Village, featuring the Black Heart Kings, outside The Chocolate Boutique in Morrisville, and Music off Main, with Old Habits, in Garner.

Friday: The Capital City Bikefest begins today, with a Patriot Ride, parade, live music and more. The event runs through the weekend in downtown Raleigh.

Also, Alabama Shakes performs at Koka Booth Amphitheater this evening.
