Tuesday
Start off the year by learning to make something new. Southern Season hosts a class at 5 p.m. that will explore different pizzas.
Also tonight, the Tony award-winning production of The Book of Mormon continues its run at DPAC.
Wednesday
PlayMakers Repertory Company's "Highway 47" opens tonight. The show tells a tale of tangled history in a high desert town where the writer's family was among the original settlers under the Spanish Land Grants of 1734.
Also tonight, Kings kicks off its Great Cover Up concert series. Local bands will be playing short sets of cover songs all to benefit local nonprofits. The bill is kept secret until the show. Shows are Wednesday through Saturday.
Thursday
Head to The Pour House for Local Band, Local Beer featuring Hammer No More Fingers, Ghostt Blonde and Doc Aquatic. Admission is free.
DSI Comedy Theater will host some of the funniest comedians in the Carolinas tonight and Friday during the Carolina's Funniest Comic competition. Admission is $10.
