Monday
Go to a movie! San Andreas and Aloha just hit theaters over the weekend.
Tuesday
Disney's Tony Award-winning musical "Newsies" opens tonight at DPAC. Tickets start at $30.
Branford Marsalis will be playing a special show tonight at Meymandi Concert Hall to help benefit the North Carolina Symphony. He will be joined by the Kruger Brothers and Rhiannon Giddens, as well as the symphony. Tickets start at $27.
Wednesday
The Decemberists play Red Hat Amphitheater tonight. Tickets start at $26.
And if you feel like watching a movie adapted from a show that isn't on anymore, "Entourage" hits theaters today.
Bring your pooches to the game tonight for Bark in the Park at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
Thursday
Lots of free concerts tonight. Park West Village hosts its Live in the District Music Series with special guests Six Stylez. And the Midtown Beach Music Series continues at North Hills in Raleigh with the Holiday Band.
Friday
Farm to Fork weekend kicks off with An Evening Affair at Duke Gardens, featuring PBS star of "A Chef's Life" Vivian Howard and other local chefs. Tickets are $165.
Enjoy a movie in downtown Raleigh's City Plaza tonight. The weekly movie series will be screening "The Goonies." Show starts at 6 p.m. and it's free.
Get your glow on in Cary tonight. The Glow in the Park fun run will feature black lights, glow in the dark paint and more.
