The week ahead: Imperial Stout release, ATC tower lighting

Here are our picks to help get you through the workweek: 


Raleigh Brewing Company is holding a party to launch its Miller's Toll Imperial Stout. The brew drops at 6 p.m. and the first 300 customers get free glassware. 


Mannheim Steamroller brings its 30th Anniversary Christmas Tour to the DPAC. This holiday show features their famous videos, multi-media images, synchronized lighting, special effects and great music. 


The 9th annual Memories for Marcus fundraiser is being held at The Daily Planet Cafe in Raleigh's Nature Research Center. The event helps raise money for WakeMed Children's Hospital. Just make a $20 donation to Memories for Marcus or bring a new unwrapped toy and receive a delicious buffet meal courtesy of The Daily Planet (drinks not included). The evening will include door prizes, great food and a silent auction. The event runs 6-9 p.m. 

In Durham, Anthony Hamilton brings his "Home for the Holidays" tour to the DPAC. He will be performing classics from his new Christmas album. Tickets start at $45. 


Singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa plays the DPAC. This rock and blues guitarist was discovered by B.B. King at the age of 12.


It's time for the American Tobacco Campus to light its Lucky Strike tower. The night will include local choir performances and a lot of family fun.

    Woody's @ City Market has the 2013 Miller's Toll Imperial Stout on right now and though there is no free glass give away, it is only $3 a glass.
