RALEIGH, N.C. — It's Christmas week - which means you need to take a break from all that last minute shopping and have a little fun.

Here are our picks for the week:

Monday

Celebrate Hanukkah in downtown Apex. There will be a dreidel bounce house, educational story hour, a wonderland activity center, art projects and donut decorating. It all happens at the Halle Cultural Arts Center starting at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday

Take the family to look at holiday lights. Hills Ridge Farms in Youngsville has a great winter wonderland and there is always Tanglewood Park's festival of lights in Clemmons, which has a riding tour so you can stay in the car.

Wednesday

Finish up that last-minute shopping and bring the children to see "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Musical" at Fletcher Opera Theater. There is an 11 a.m. performance.

Thursday

Enjoy the day with your family and friends. If you are looking for something to do, the Ice Factory at American Tobacco Campus and the Ipreo Raleigh Winterfest rinks are open today. ATC's is open from 1-9 p.m. and the Raleigh rink is open 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Also, there are several new movies hitting theaters today including "Into the Woods" and "American Sniper."

Friday

The HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational, which highlights some of the best local basketball talent in the area, tips off at 12:40 p.m. at Broughton High School. Tickets are $12 a day for adults and $6 for those under 10 years old.
