Haw River Farmhouse Ales

— Try some craft beer and enjoy a good meal for a good cause this week.


Get a head start on holiday shopping while enjoying delicious craft beer at Raleigh Brewing Company's Sip 'n Shop event. Several retailers, including Oak City Coffee Roasters, Galatea Boutique and Porch Fly Clothing, will be on hand.


Academy Award- and Grammy Award-winning musician Melissa Etheridge plays DPAC Tuesday night. Tickets start at $41.50.

Social Games and Brews in Durham is holding a Community Beer Night fundraiser for Durham Central Park. One dollar of each $5 draft beer sold will go to the park.


The Cookery is hosting a Fall Harvest Farmer Veterans Dinner Wednesday evening. The menu highlights local autumn products in a "mix and mingle" setting. Tickets are $40. Proceeds benefit the Farmer Veteran Coalition.

Head to Saxapahaw for Taste the Triangle at the recently-opened Haw River Farmhouse Ales brewery. We've been hearing good things about this new addition to the local brewing scene! Tickets are $10.


'Def Comedy Jam' star Bill Bellamy hits the stage at Goodnight's through Saturday. Tickets start at $25.
