The week ahead: Comedy, wine and NC Symphony

Rhiannon Giddens has made a Grammy-winning career of bringing song traditions to modern life with her band The Carolina Chocolate Drops.

— A few events to get you through the workweek: 

Tuesday: "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari brings his stand-up show to Carolina Theatre of Durham. Tickets start at $37.

Gravy and the Raleigh Wine Shop are teaming up for a Spanish Wine Dinner. The meal is $60 plus tax and tip per person.

Also, Evita opens at the DPAC. Tickets start at $35 and the show runs through Sunday. 

Wednesday: The Pink Collar Comedy Tour brings some hilarious, cutting-edge female comedians to Deep South the Bar. Tickets are $10.

Thursday: One of the star of FXX's "Legit" Australian comic Jim Jefferies plays Goodnight's Comedy Club. Tickets are $35.

UPDATE: TOPO Distillery's Tasting Social at Dean's Seafood in Cary scheduled for tonight has been postponed. We will let you know when it is rescheduled. 

Friday: The Carolina Chocolate Drops' Rhiannon Giddens performs with the NC Symphony at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh Friday and Saturday night.
