The North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival has a lot of events happening this month. Things kick off with an Adult Spelling Bee at DSI in Chapel Hill at 7 p.m. Admission is $6.

Also tonight, Kamado Grille in north Raleigh hosts an International Wine Dinner. Get four courses and five wines for $50.

Shaping Sound will electrify Raleigh Memorial Auditorium tonight. The group features a mix of dance styles and musical genres. Tickets start at $22.

Blues and rock guitarist Jonny Lang will play Carolina Theatre in Durham at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $37.

Also, the NCCAF continues tonight with an event that WRAL chief meteorologist Greg Fishel could probably win - the Home Pun Derby. The grand prize winner will receive $50 and gift cards from local businesses. The fun starts at 7 p.m. at DSI. Admission is $6.

Two great concerts happening not too far away. Carrie Underwood plays Greensboro Coliseum tonight, while Lil Wayne plays Crown Arena in Fayetteville.

Comedian Lily Tomlin will play Carolina Theatre of Durham at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $37.

Also, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus Xtreme opens tonight at PNC Arena. The show runs through Sunday. Tickets start at $13.

Comedian and actress Margaret Cho starts her three night stint at Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh tonight.General admission tickets are $30.

Take a voyage with Star Trek, a 40-foot screen and live orchestra at DPAC tonight. Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage features film and TV footage and a live symphony orchestra. Tickets start at $45.

Carolina Nightlife hosts a Mardi Gras Crawl in downtown Raleigh. The crawl will hit five area bars in the Fayetteville Street area and include drink specials. Admission is $10 in advance and $20 the day-of. Note: If you book before Feb. 4 and use the promo code "WRAL16," you can get tickets for half price.

See the outstanding performers from the Dance Theatre of Harlem at Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight. Tickets start at $12.
