Monday

It's all about music tonight with Mavis Staples and Joan Osborne playing Carolina Theatre of Durham.
If you'd rather do the singing, Motorco hosts its Flash Chorus tonight. Admission is $7.

Tuesday

Piedmont restaurant in Durham will host a Foggy Ridge Cider Dinner tonight featuring five delicious courses for $70.

Wednesday

The Internet Summit will bring many of the leaders in digital brand marketing and more to downtown Raleigh this week. The keynote speaker is hip hop mogul Russell Simmons.
Tonight, Playmakers starts its run of "Peter and the Starcatcher" at the Paul Green Theater for Dramatic Art in Chapel Hill. Tickets start at $15 and the show runs through Dec. 12.

Thursday

Cameron Village holds its Holiday Open House tonight with live music, a 40-foot Ferris wheel, snow, carriage rides and a visit from Santa. The event is free.
Former Beach Boy Brian Wilson plays Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight. Tickets start at $57.

Friday

Local beer and barbecue highlight the first Brewer's Ball at the American Institute of Architects in Raleigh. Brewers include G2B, Natty Greene's, Nickel Point Brewing, Carolina Brewing Company, Foothills and Sierra Nevada. Whole hog barbecue from PICNIC, challah buns from La Farm Bakery, shucked oysters from Locals Seafood, sides from Posh Nosh Catering and Midtown Grille and desserts from Catering Works will be served alongside beer (and wine). The event celebrates Cystic Fibrosis advocates. Tickets are $75.
And get into the holiday spirit tonight when Waverly Place in Cary holds its tree lighting celebration. Live music and Santa help make this a great family pick for the evening. Admission is free.
