The week ahead: Biz Markie, David Cross

Bull City Street Food and Bull City Cider are teaming up for the Pairing of Bulls IV dinner. Admission to this five-course with cider pairings is $50 per person.

Singer-songwriter Beth Hart plays Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight. She is known for her strong, soulful voice. She had a big hit a few years ago with "L.A. Song (Out of This Town)," which peaked in the top 10 on the Billboard charts. Tickets for her show start at $28.

Another blast from the past: Alternative rock band Sister Hazel, who had a big single in the 1990s, "All for You," is playing Lincoln Theatre in downtown Raleigh tonight. They will be joined by the Christian Lopez Band and Brad Ray. Tickets start at $18.

Comedian and actor David Cross brings his stand-up tour, "Making America Great Again!," to Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight. You might remember him as Tobias Funke on "Arrested Development." Tickets start at $36.

Also, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performs at UNC Chapel Hill's Memorial Hall. This dance troupe celebrates the uniqueness of the African-American cultural experience and the preservation and enrichment of the American modern dance heritage. A limited number of tickets are still available for this show. They are also performing Tuesday night.

Biz Markie brings his 80s vs. 90s Dance Party tour to The Ritz in Raleigh. Tickets are $15.

The Sklar Brothers begin a three night stint at Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh tonight. The brothers will be taping material for their new Travel Channel Show, "Finding the Funny."

Enjoy some oysters and champagne at The Carolina Inn tonight during the Bubbles and Pearls Cooking Class and Dinner. The evening includes a five course meal and cooking class.

Vocalosity, a fast-paced a cappella show, will play Carolina Theatre of Durham. It is the latest show from artistic producer Deke Sharon, who worked on the film "Pitch Perfect" and the TV competition "The Sing-Off." Tickets start at $27.

Head to William Peace University's Leggett Theatre tonight for Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." The production will be set amid the sights and sounds of exuberant teen romance in the 1980s. Audience members who want to get close to the action for a truly intimate experience may sit directly onstage in extended seating lining either side of the playing space. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.
