The Clean Cut: Netflix releases 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events' trailer

Posted October 12

Netflix posted a teaser for "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" to YouTube.

The trailer is narrated by Patrick Warburton, who is known for his work playing David Puddy in "Seinfeld" and voicing Kronk in "The Emperor's New Groove."

In the trailer, Lemony Snicket (Warburton) walks through a dimly lit studio made to look like the 1940s as he tries to convince potential viewers not to watch.

"So, please don't make the same mistake that Netflix has and look away before this dire tale's even filmed and avoid the cruel whimsy and whimsical cruelty of what's to come," Warburton says in the video.

The series, based off of the internationally popular comical book series of the same name, is about the plight of the Baudelaire orphans as they try to avoid their evil guardian Count Olaf but instead encounter endless tragedy.

In addition to Warburton, the series will also star Grammy and Tony award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf.

Netflix is set to debut the eight-part series Jan. 13, according to the videos description.
