The Clean Cut: Lego celebrates 40 years of Star Wars with tribute to 'A New Hope'

Posted May 27

The first Stars Wars film, “Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope,” entered the world of cinema 40 years ago on May 25, 1977. Audiences were captivated by the Rebel Alliance and its attempt to destroy the Galactic Empire’s space station, the Death Star.

While fans are surely celebrating this anniversary in various ways, Lego has built up its own tribute to the iconic film, with a two-minute reenactment of “A New Hope” that features beloved characters including Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo and more.
