No one's too old for basketball, or at least so say the 80-year-old women on the San Diego Splash.

The San Diego Senior Women's Basketball Association is for women who are at least 50 years old, according to a video posted on ESPNW's Facebook page on June 26.

The San Diego Splash, however, is the oldest team in the league, specifically for women who are at least 80 years old, and many on the team are older, including a few in their 90s.

Marge Carl, 87, said in the video, "If you can stand up and move your legs, you're welcome."

Despite the fact that the Splash is always playing younger women, they still play to win.

They play three-on-three, half court, with 15-minute halves in a 30-minute game.

The women in the video describe how they never had the chance to play sports as young girls, before Title IX existed, and now some of them have been proudly playing basketball for nearly 25 years.

Despite family and friends telling them they couldn't do it, these women persisted and are now outliving some of these naysayers as they stay active as long as they can.
