Texas man faces more charges in Durham shooting
A Texas man accused of killing a Pennsylvania high school football player in Durham in June was indicted Monday on several more charges in the case.

A Durham County grand jury indicted Gabriel James Gamez on five counts of attempted murder and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He already faced one count each of murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Police say Gamez, 22, of San Antonio, was visiting Durham on June 23 for a family funeral when he got in an altercation with members of a football team visiting on a recruiting trip.
He is accused of shooting Darrell Turner, 18, and Thomas Woodson, 15, in a parking lot in the 5300 block of McFarland Drive. Turner died at Duke University Hospital, while Woodson was shot in the leg.
Police said Gamez shot into a group of people, and the new charges represented victims who weren't wounded.
Gamez is being held in the Durham County jail under a $1 million bond.
