— Cumberland County sheriff's detectives arrested a Terry Sanford High School student Friday morning and charged him with vandalizing two school buses.

Allen Lloyd Terrell, 19, of 213 Colonial Drive is charged with misdemeanor larceny, felony breaking and entering, as well as misdemeanor injury to personal property.

Investigators believe Terrell had at least two accomplices on Aug. 24 when he broke into two buses parked at Ramsey Street Alternative School, on Quincy Street in Fayetteville.

The men damaged seats, video cameras and safety equipment on buses nos. 581 and 288, investigators said. Terrell was captured on video tape urinating inside a bus.

He was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on $2,000 secured bond.

Anyone who may know the identity of those who were with Terrell at the time of the crime is asked to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.

They both should have to pay for all the damages they caused after they spend some time in prison for about 3 years. This is still showing how some parents are raising their children. They should not be allowed to go to the school if they are students.

"He's an adult man. Wash buses as a punishment? He's not 12! Give him a jail sentence for goodness sakes and make him pay for the damages."

I agree that he should pay for he damages, but why should we as taxpayers pay for him to sit on his backside in jail? I think that making him clean up after a bunch of kids that don't have any respect the county's buses would serve him right.

Ok, I'll bite, GWALLY. How have we "supported him this far"? Did you find some previous arrest records or are you just basing this on his mug shot?

  • GWALLY Sep 3, 2010

I bet Terrell knows. Why don't they keep him in jail until he rats out his friends?

Another Rocket Scientist that we will end up supporting the rest of his life. And someone said isn't 19 a bit old to be in high school and not if you don't know enough not to look right into the camera when committing a crime!!!!

I'd like to see this MAN sentenced to a year of cleaning school buses in the evenings in preparation for the next day. That will teach him something about the intelligence of his actions and the impact of abusing property that isn't his.
