Tell Raleigh what you want to see in its parks

Do you want more spraygrounds? More playgrounds? More trails? More ballfields? Have you seen a park in another city that you'd love Raleigh to build? Now is your time to speak up!

It's time to speak up. Raleigh officials are mapping out park plans for the city over the next 20 years and they are looking to park users for some thoughts. And with the amount of time parents spend in Raleigh's parks, I'm sure there are lots of ideas out there!

The city has been holding meetings over the last couple of weeks to provide information and get some feedback. The final one is 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, at Lake Lynn Community Center, 7921 Ray Rd., in north Raleigh. Click here for details.
But, if you can't make the meeting, the city also has this website where the public can take a look at the plan so far and make comments and suggestions.

I, for one, would love to see more spraygrounds, which essentially are play pieces that spray water, around the city's parks.
