Southern Pines, N.C. — Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines was put on lockdown for about 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon after a bicyclist reported to 911 that two men near the school's campus pointed a gun at him.
Two 16-year-olds were apprehended on the school's sports field shortly after 4 p.m. Police confiscated two BB guns from the teens, whose names were not released.
The lockdown was lifted after the arrests.
