Teen dies after Vance County car crash

— One Henderson teen died and another was injured Tuesday afternoon when they were hit by a car as they crossed Burnside Road.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Pauline Sue Champion, 46, was traveling west on Burnside Road when she lost control and crossed the center line, hitting Cornell Hester Jr., 18, and Charles Neale Jr., 15.

Hester died of his injuries Wednesday. Neale was being treated at Duke University Hospital.

    I also reported a drunk diver to the police/state troopers on Tuesday around 1:40pm about 11 miles away from where this wreck occurred.

    Thats not making assumptions....in the first story they posted about this it said "Pauline Champion was charged with DWI, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license. Troopers said Champion was taken to Mariah Parham Medical Center following the wreck...... I don't know why they edited that out of the updated story but it was there.

    Why??? These were not children hit with a stopped school bus. She did not flee.
