— Police over the weekend arrested two teenagers accused of causing an estimated $10,000 in damage to equipment at a Fayetteville construction site.

Joshua Tyler Clark, 17, and an unidentified 13-year-old girl were taken into custody Sunday evening after someone reported suspicious activity at the site at 3300 Braddy Road, police said Monday.

Clark faces four counts of felony breaking into a motor vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor larceny, two counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen property and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The 13-year-old was released into the custody of her parents, police said. She was not identified because she is a juvenile.

Clark was in the Cumberland County Detention Center Monday morning under a $7,800 secured bond.

Investigators said more charges are possible.

Quote from michaelclay: "because they didn't give the 13 year old's name or how she new the guy you are jumping to conclusions, they could be close relatives."

You are jumping to conclusions that because they may be close relatives, they don't have a sexual relationship. This is North Carolina, after all.

Why not Felony child endangerment and or child abuse? Teaching a child how to commit crimes is abuse no matter how you spell it.

Now....am I the only one whom is under the presumption that B&E was not all they were into. Drugs are an issue here. These two teens have WAY too much freedom.

    That's what I see.

What's a 13 year old girl doing with a 17 year old guy? Her parents should be thankful that she's only vandalizing property and not pregnant yet!

" youthful short sightedness " funny. Something tells me his plans are not employment and being an asset to the community. But hey in the touchy feely society void of any backbone lets give him a hand up, hand out or whatever. I say give him one finger up.

Instead of giving him a criminal record, cane him like they do in Singapore and televise it.

  • amenmike Sep 19, 2011

Yep, let's make him 50 and jobless due to youthful short sightedness; this way all of us can support him, his children when he cannot support himself. That's a terrific plan. (insert sarcasm here)

Probation, and fine, not much of a story considering the killing take place in the viewing area.
