DENISON, TX — A 16-year-old was taken into custody for interfering with an emergency call after he allegedly caused a disturbance when his father took away his electronics Saturday evening.

At about 5:50 p.m., Denison Police were called to the disturbance in the 1800 block of West Bond Street. The complainant told police that his son became upset when his electronics were taken away because the 16-year-old did not do his chores, according to the police report.

As the father called police, the son allegedly took the phone and would not give it back, the report states. Police then arrested the teenager for interference with an emergency call, but Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler said he was not booked and was later released back into his parents' custody.
