Teen wanted in Fayetteville jewelry store break-in

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are seeking help from the public in locating a teenager who they said is responsible for an Oct. 28 jewelry store break-in.

Darius Dashawn Burkes, 16, of the 700 block of Commerce Street, is wanted on charges of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Police said that Burkes broke into a Heritage Jewelers shop located at 114 Westwood Shopping Center at about 2 a.m. on Oct. 28. Authorities said that Burkes stole several watch bands, but they did not know the value of the stolen items.
