— A teen sought in the shooting death of a man in a Rocky Mount bar last week faces additional charges, police said Friday.

Ryan Craig Bobbitt, 24, was killed in the early hours of Sept. 30 after a fight broke out at the Night Life Bar and Grill at 821 Country Club Road.

Police won't say what led to the fight. Two men have been arrested in the case, and a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Royal Rakem Williams, 17, on a first-degree murder charge.

Rocky Mount police said Friday when Williams is arrested he will face additional charges of possession of a handgun, discharging a firearm in city limits, being in a nightclub as a minor and carrying a weapon into a place where alcohol is sold.

Williams is known to frequent Nashville, N.C. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Rocky Mount police at 252-972-1411.

Jhimaal McKeith Lasco, 19, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Kenny Maliek Bynum, 29, and Doron Terrel Alston, 28, have also been arrested on the same charge.

Alston has previous drugs and weapons convictions, while Bynum has been convicted of assault on a female and damaging property, according to state Department of Correction records.

The club's owner, Thomas Benson, said in a statement posted on the bar's website Wednesday that he and the property's landlord have agreed that no nightclub or bar will ever again be allowed to open at that address.

A minor - aren't his parents legally liable for his actions? Perhaps they need to be in prison with him for life for the murder he committed. Hope they have lots of money for the victim's family.

The bar should be responsible for allowing the minor into their establishment. Guessing the 17 year old had a great up bringing and has 2 parents that love him! ( sarcasm )
