<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A 17-year-old was killed Friday in a single vehicle crash on Johnson Farm Road in Cumberland County, authorities said.

Brian Widhalm was driving on Johnson Farm Road near Eliot Farm Road at about 3:20 p.m. Friday when he crashed into a tree.

According to investigators, Widhalm swerved off the right side of the road, overcorrected and hit a tree on the left side on the road.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

No further information was immediately available.
