— A Chapel Hill teen died Thursday evening in a single-car crash east of Hillsborough, authorities said.

David Alexander Mayse, 19, was northbound on New Sharon Church Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. when he lost control of his car while trying to pass another vehicle, authorities said. The car went off the road less than a mile north of the Walker Road intersection and hit a tree.

No one else was injured.

Toxendine3, while I am not one to overly glorify the dead, this seems a poor time to bring this information up. He has family and friends who care about him.

Even if he was guilty of all of the crimes you have listed, not one is a capital crime. Also, because people are capable of change, the young man who died may have been very different from the one whose rap sheet you are reporting.

There are people who live lives of profound evil and disregard for others and some of them live a long time. Innocent and otherwise splendid human beings sometimes die even younger than 19. And then there's the rest of us--- somewhere in the middle.
