Teen killed by train in Dunn
A recent Midway High School graduate was hit and killed by a train sometime overnight, and deputies said they believe it was an accident.
Posted — UpdatedDUNN, N.C. — A recent Midway High School graduate was hit and killed by a train sometime overnight, and deputies said they believe it was an accident.
Christopher Alan ReBarker, 18, was found lying near the CSX railroad tracks Saturday morning near Arrowhead Road.
Authorities weren't sure what train hit the teen or what time he was hit. Another train passing through around 9 a.m. Saturday saw the dead teen and called authorities.
Friends told authorities that ReBarker, who planned to attend East Carolina University, always dreamed of hopping a freight train for a trip to Philadelphia or New York.
