Teen injured in Rocky Mount movie theater shooting

A 16-year-old man was injured Saturday night when shots were fired outside a Rocky Mount movie theater, police said.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A 16-year-old man was injured Saturday night when shots were fired outside a Rocky Mount movie theater, police said.

The teen was grazed by a bullet and police described his injury as non-life-threatening.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of Premier Theater, 821 Benvenue Road. Several people are in custody, police said.

An off-duty officer was working as a security guard inside the theater at the time.

No other information was released.
