— A car crash injured a teenager and knocked out power to nearly 2,000 people in Nash County Wednesday evening. Power was restored by 4 a.m. Thursday.

According to troopers, Sara Gwinn, 16, drove a 1991 Infiniti off Red Oak Road, near Loop Road, and hit a utility pole just after 10 p.m. The car overturned several times and she was thrown from the car.

The Rocky Mount teenager was transported by helicopter to Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She suffered several broken bones and was in stable condition in the intensive care unit, troopers said.

Troopers estimate she was driving 80 to 90 mph in the 55 mph zone. She was charged with exceeding the posted speed limit and a seat belt violation.

If you dont pray and dont know how, allow me to help...... Dear Lord, thank you for everyday that you grant on here on this earth. Thank you for our family and thank you for dying on the cross for our sins so that we may be forgiven when we fall short. We ask Lord that you touch this precious young lady and her family. We ask father that you touch her body with a recovery and touch the mind and exsperiance of every Dr. that lays a hand on her. We thank you and we ask that you touch the hearts of everyone in her family Lord that dont know you. In your name we pray, AMEN!! Kristan Gardner

I do not know this young lady but I do however work with her sister. Everything everyone is saying is correct.... BUT!!! Now is not the time to descuss the right and wrong thing to do. This young lady and our family needs our prayer. I truely believe in my heart, God allow things to happen to get out attention. To open our eye's. I believe whatever the reason behind this horriable accident, this young lady and her family need SERIOUS prayer right now. It takes less time to pray once every ten minutes for this young lady and her family then it has taken everyone to sit here and pass judgemnt on what isn't even the main issue right now. I pray everyone will open your hearts and lift this young lady and her family in prayer. Then when all is settled and calmed let God and her parents work out the details. I do agree with all comments made on teenage driving I am a mother of 3..... But in this very event lets focus on a clean bill of health and a smooth quick recovery.... Here
