Teen injured in 4-wheeler crash in Four Oaks

— A 15-year-old boy was injured Sunday afternoon in a 4-wheeler crash in Four Oaks.

The crash happened at about 5 p.m. near Blackmon's Crossroads.

The teenager, whose name was not released, was transported by helicopter to Duke University Hospital for treatment.

No additional information was available.

    i just got the latest news now they r sayig and this is comeing strait from his parents the was a dog trin to bite him and he lost control he only bumped his head once and it caused hemorrhaging in his head they have drilled one hole so far i was miss informed and they are tryin to put meds in to slow and stop the swelling he has been put in a coma so he does not move the should be doing test this weekend to see if he can fill taste talk all that good stuff

    they stated they belive it was a hit and run they hit his 4weeler and he fliped he grandfather hurd the crash and found him lying there

    he is one of my best friends and so far he has had 3 holes drilled in his head to relive pressuer he is so far suposibly breathing on his own but he is still unresponsive he is a kind boy and dose not deserve this nether does his family everyone plz pray for him

    I also heard he was hit by a car and it left the seen. So many people in this world have no heart!! He is still someone's child, and I use to be friends with her in high school.

    My daughter goes to school with him. According to her it was a head-on collision with a vehicle, and the vehicle left the scene. As I said, my information is not from an official source, but from what my daughter was told at school this morning.
