Teen charged with shooting soldier at Fayetteville party

— A Fayetteville teen was charged Tuesday in the shooting of a soldier at a weekend party.

Dennis Enrique Vazquez, 16, of Bayleaf Drive, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy and being an accessory to a felony, according Fayetteville police. He was being held on $100,000 bond.

The soldier, Akeem Ford, 24, of Fort Bragg, was shot after an argument at a party on Ironwood Drive.

    What say we give him a sentence of 5 years in Iraq or Afghanistan? That way, he can shoot all he wants. Only thing is, they will shoot back at him.
