Teen charged with shooting soldier at Fayetteville party

A Fayetteville teen was charged Tuesday in the shooting of a soldier at a weekend party.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville teen was charged Tuesday in the shooting of a soldier at a weekend party.

Dennis Enrique Vazquez, 16, of Bayleaf Drive, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy and being an accessory to a felony, according Fayetteville police. He was being held on $100,000 bond.

The soldier, Akeem Ford, 24, of Fort Bragg, was shot after an argument at a party on Ironwood Drive.
