Teen charged in shooting of six at Goldsboro party
Police said Tuesday that they have arrested a second suspect and expect to make more arrests in connection with the shooting of six people during a party a Goldsboro apartment in May.

Shavaye Faronte Brooks, 16, of 204 S. Kornegay St. in Goldsboro, was charged Monday with six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and 10 counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property. He was given a $1.55 million secured bond.
Tremaine Malik Lane, 18, of 102 Royal Drive in Dudley, faces the same charges in connection with the May 22 shooting, as well as one count of larceny of a firearm stemming from a separate incident. He's being held under a $1.5 million secured bond.
Police said that gunshots were fired into the apartment of Raimonte Walls, 21, at 404 N. George St., as he was holding a party. Bullets struck Walls, a 15-year-old boy, two 16-year-old girls, a 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the case and asked anyone with information to call investigators at 919-580-4217 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255. Crime Stoppers gives cash rewards to anonymous tips that solve crimes.
Brooks had recent run-ins with the law, police said. He was arrested on April 5 on two counts of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.
He was released under an $8,000 secured bond but was re-arrested June 8 for violating the conditions of his pre-trial release, police said. He was put in the Wayne County jail under a $16,000 secured bond.
