Teen charged in Fuquay-Varina robbery

Posted December 11, 2015

— Fuquay-Varina police made an arrest Friday in the Wednesday morning robbery of four high school students outside a grocery store. The suspect is a 15-year-old boy who faces four charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one charge of conspiracy to commit robbery.

The victims told police that an armed man wearing a black shirt and red bandana around his neck approached them at the Shop & Save, at 603 E. Broad St., at about 10 a.m. Wednesday and took their wallets and cellphones. No one was injured.

Police did not say how they linked the suspect to the robbery.

They found the teen Friday afternoon at Fuquay Gun & Gold after employees and another customer identified him.

When police tried to take him into custody, the teen kicked two officers and damaged a Fuquay-Varina police car. He is expected to face additional charges of assault on a government official and damage to property for that outburst.

15 years old. Angry enough and strong enough to do the damage he did the officers car is not what you would expect. Breaking out a window? Bending the metal frame?

What's worse, with our juvenile system, he will be back out on the streets, if not soon, by the time he's 18. If he is this hate filled and violent now...what will he be like in a few years?

I watch this kid threaten the arresting officers and spew a long list of obscenities. I took three officers to get the kid into the car. He fought them every bit of the way. Now that he has committed his first "bod boy" crime his life is on a road to pain and constant distrust of attorney. His fight with the police starts his slide into misery and he cannot see any of it. It is sad to see a young man start the slide into a life of limitations. The rally sad part is he wants to be cool and armed robbery is celebrated in the music he listens to, at least it was on the radio when they pulled into the parking lot at FG&G.

and if he has anything less than a scratch on him as a result of going to Jail, the rest of the arresting cast is also getting fired or going to jail as well.
