Teen charged in Moore County armed robbery

Posted July 13, 2011

— Moore County deputies charged a 17-year-old Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery at an Eagle Springs home last month, authorities said.

Tevin Barrington Spencer, of 9944 N.C. Highway 705, faces one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was being held in the Moore County jail under a $75,000 bond.

Deputies said that the victim was approached at home on June 20 and held at gunpoint while Spencer stole cash and other items, before fleeing on foot.

Witnesses told deputies that they recognized the robber as Spencer, authorities said.

17 years old should be in school somewhere and parents should be teaching him how to become a productive part of society. So sick and tried of reading these types of stories.

When weapons are involved no bail, and swift justice these cases drag out to long in our court systems with delays that just prolong the final verdict which should always be guilty as charged.
