TechShop marks National Engineers Week with special programs for kids, parents
Free classes will be offered for kids from elementary school to high school and tours for parents at the event on Feb. 23.
Posted — UpdatedTechShop in north Raleigh will have a special activity day to mark National Engineers Week later this month.
From noon to 5 p.m., Feb. 23, TechShop, a do-it-yourself workshop, will offer an afternoon of special classes for students from elementary school to high school. Tours will be offered for parents. It's all free, but children need to be registered to make sure there's a spot in the age appropriate group at your preferred time.
In addition to the classes, TechShop will have some special outdoor activities including a large Fresnel lens, a Trebuchet and an electric car from Duke Energy, along with a 4-cycle engine.
