I wrote about TechShop, the do-it-yourself workshop with a north Raleigh location, a few weeks ago. Read the post here.

Here's an update: The business has lowered some of its equipment and class age requirements, giving younger teens more access to their equipment. Kids still must be 12 to 17 to be eligible for membership. But now kids ages 12 and up have access to the metal shop, along with some other spaces.

For details about the new age rules, check TechShop's website. TechShop sits on Triangle Drive off Glenwood Avenue near Interstate 540 in north Raleigh.

As I wrote before, this place is great for creative, handy teens and families.
