Posted — UpdatedLegislators and Gov. Pat McCrory struck a deal Monday on a major tax reform package, making some of the most significant changes to the tax code since the 1930s, according to WRAL.
Among those changes are cuts to two popular offerings that I know plenty of Go Ask Mom readers look forward to each year.
The new deal will eliminate the back to school sales tax holiday starting in 2014. It also will end the sales tax holiday for Energy Star appliances starting in 2014.
These sales holidays are still a go for this year.
Next year, they'll be no more.
