Posted April 14, 2010

— A conservative activist group has planned a rally Thursday outside the state capitol in Raleigh to mark the day that income taxes must be filed.

Triangle Conservatives Unite issued the public invitation to a Tax Day Tea Party to be held at 5 p.m. Speakers at the event include Claude E. Pope Jr., chairman of the Wake County Republican Party and several of those running for Congress from North Carolina.

I know 2 people personally who will be cheering at the Tea Party today. They have both been scamming disability for years. They are not even close to disabled. One of them is a Christian, anti-government fundamentalist. How do these people sleep at night? What do they really stand for? The Tea party has been hijacked by too many fringe groups. It is a disgrace to the original Tea Party. I love my country to much to attend such nonsense and hypocrisy.

"These people insult the patriots who were the original "tea party" participants. " Gork

Thank you Gork. I was trying to figure out why I dislike the tea partiers sooo much (other that their rudeness). This is exactly why I dislike them.

"The more the Lib's bash the Tea Party and Palin, the more likely Obama will be handing the keys to the White House to Palin in 2012."

Honestly, no matter what your political inclination is, does anyone think Palin for President is a good thing? If so, can you tell me why. Politics aside, she's just not a very bright or kind person with leadership potential - at least in my opinion.

"likely Obama will be handing the keys to the White House to Palin in 2012"

Just make sure you ask her why there's a North and South Korea as well as whether Osama bin Laden is still hiding out in Iraq. If this is who you want, go for it.

No, Obama is the one to blame for 200,000 (not millions) of long-term unemployed people not receiving an unemployment benefit they aren't even entitled to.

Obama has done nothing to stimulate the economy... in fact, experts say he has made the recession worse. If Obama really wants to give those 200,000 people more benefits, then he can come up with the money out his bloated budget instead of borrowing it from China. The gov't has ZERO dollars right now. Obama has maxed out the national debt and Geitner cannot print anymore money. Where's the $9B gonna come from?

The Lib's bashing the Tea Party is funny. The more the Lib's bash the Tea Party and Palin, the more likely Obama will be handing the keys to the White House to Palin in 2012. That is, if the GOP controlled Congress doesn't Impeach Obama & Biden first.

If the Dems thought losing Kennedy's seat to the GOP was a shock... wait until Nov! You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Someone once said that our system brags about our two party system. Which in reality, is one more choice than what the old soviet union had. We only get to choose from the ones that the party tells us to choose from.
