Target Valentine's clearance 70% off, 9 cent M&M's & FREE Heinz ketchup!

Posted February 19, 2013

Target Valentine's Day clearance is now at 70% off at many stores and that makes for some great deals on clothes, candy and decorations! You can score some of the 9.9 oz bags of M&M's for 9 cents each with the right coupons! And don't miss the FREE Heinz ketchup either!

M&M's Deal: The Valentine's M&M's in various flavors are 70% off for $1.59 per bag (9.9 oz bag). Use the $1.50/2 printable Target store coupon on AND the $1.50/2 coupon from 1/27 RP insert and the total is 9 cents per bag!

Heinz Deal: There is also a coupon on the Target website for $2 off the 38 oz bottle of Heinz Ketchup. Well.....that bottle sells for $1.99 so it is FREE after coupon. The White Oak location in Garner was totally sold out, but the coupon is valid through the middle of March so there is plenty of time to use it.

I also found some good deals on clothes including Valentine's socks for my daughter. They were on clearance for $1.20 for a 2 pack! That's a great deal on novelty socks! There was also a pretty good selection of decor, boxes of Valentine's and a few more bags of M&M's at the White Oak Garner location. The M&M's flavors that were left were dark chocolate and cherry.

Not sure how it relates to Valentine's Day, LOL, but many of the Target stores have apparently also marked down a lot of kids stuff up to 70% to 90% off, but as I mentioned in my previous post, many are not marked on the shelves as being clearance (but once you scan them, you'll see the marked down price).

Here's some of what is being found: My Little Ponies @ $0.50 cents, Sesame Street figures @ $0.59, Lego Friends Ice Cream Set @ $0.39, L'il Webkinz, and a variety of Valentine's Day themed apparel...not just for kids either. Valentine's men's boxers in the men's dept, for example, regularly $8.99 are now scanning at $0.89!

There was no Valentine's Day candy left at the Target in Morrisville either, but I was able to snag a great deal I read about over on Frito-Lay has these large "Classic Mix" packages containing 20 or more 1 oz. bags of different chips, pretzels, Doritos, etc. - this package normally sells for $4.18. They had put a version of this product out for Valentine's Day that looks exactly like their regular version, except it had a light pink heart on the front of it. If you were able to find any - they were mixed in with the regular prices ones and not marked as clearance - they were marked down to just $2.09 each! (I would have shared about them here, but don't believe there are any of this special version they came out with left at this point.)

One thing I've learned since discovering the website is when in doubt, SCAN. This was another example of a clearance item not being marked as such, and most would never have known.

When I went to the Apex store yesterday, there was a really random selection of things left. The one thing they had a lot of was gift bags. I managed to get a Hello Kitty tutu that happened to have hearts on it for 70% so only about $4. My 3 year old has pretty much worn it nonstop since I got it :)

I was just at Cary target and there really wasn't anything. A bunch of super cheap flimsy decorations, piggy banks, frames etc. all junk. One t-shirt, boxers and a bunch of socks, some hair stuff. I didn't find any candy left at all, just aisles of Easter stuff. They did have super cute girls valentine clothes but it was marked 30% and of course, none in the size my daughter will wear next year. Oh we'll, I racked up after Christmas so really no room to complain!

Ah, wish I had read this before I went to Target today. At least I only bought one bag of M&Ms... I won't think about the fact that I could have gotten two for about that price! Better for my hips, at least. Hah!
