Posted May 19, 2014

Target exterior

Target has some good deals this week including a Swiffer FREEBIE, Pepsi 12 packs and all 2 ltr sodas, a $10 Grocery coupon when you buy $50 worth, Banana Boat products, Breyers ice cream, salmon and more! Please share any other deals you find.

The deals from the ad this week are valid 5/18 - 5/24

Coupons in ad

* Coupon for $10 off a food or beverage purchase of $50 or more in the ad! Not valid on alcohol, baby food, nutrition shakes and bars, pet food, Target and Starbucks Cafes.  Expires 5/24/14.  This can probably be used at many Harris Teeter (and possibly Lowes Foods) stores as a competitor's coupon.   You can also text FOOD to 827438 to get this coupon as a mobile coupon.

* Coupon for $10 off any $50 or more patio purchase in the ad.  You can also text PATIO to 827438 to get the coupon as a mobile coupon.

Grocery deals from the ad:

$10 Target gift card when you buy any 3 Swiffer items
Buy 3 Swiffer Duster Starter kits 5 count for $4.49 (online price) each and use 3 coupons for $2/1 from 4/27 PG or Smart Shopper coupons link
Total at register = $7.47
Get gift card for $10 back after the transaction. It’s like making $2.53 after all coupons and rewards!
Quantities limited, no rain checks.  There is also a $1/1 refill coupon from the Smart Shopper coupons link above, $1/1 refill coupon from 4/27 PG, .50/1 refill coupon from 5/11 PG insert

Fresh sweet corn, 4 for $1

All 2 ltr soda brands, 5 for $5 (or $1.25 each) - wow - it is rare that a store puts every brand of soda on sale for $1 each (when you buy 5) for the 2 ltr. That is a good price.

King's Hawaiian 6 - 12 t rolls (the Hamburger buns are pictured in the ad so I assume the hot dog buns would be included in the sale as well) - $1/1 and $1/2 coupons from 5/18 RP = $1.50 with the $1 coupon

Magnum ice cream bars, $3 - $1.25 and .75 coupons from Smart Shopper coupons link recently, $3/3 coupon (same one as the Breyers coupon) from 5/4 RP

Hormel Always tender pork spare ribs, $1.99/lb

Strawberries, 1 lb, $2.00 - 5% off Target Cartwheel offer

Breyers ice cream, $3 - $3/3 coupon from 5/4 RP = $2 each

Pepsi products, 12 pack cans or 6 - 8 pack, 4 for $10 (or $3.29 each - much better deal when you buy 4 at the same time)

Banana Boat products, $6.99
Gift card promo: $5 gift card when you buy 2
Coupon: $3/2 or $1/1 coupons from 5/18 SS
Total after $3/2 coupon AND $5 gift card = $2.99 each – good deal

Hebrew National hot dogs, $2.99 - $1/2 Target printable coupon from Target.com, $1/2 Target mobile coupon recently

Applegate beef hot dogs, 12 oz, $4.49 - $1 printable coupon from their Facebook page

Simply Balanced Alaskan salmon, frozen, 24 oz, $9.99 - $1 Target printable coupon from Target.com = $8.99 (like paying $5.99/lb - a good deal for wild salmon)

Additional ways to save at Target:

Target.com printable coupons: You can find printable coupons at Target.com when you scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click on Coupons. The store Target coupons can be combined with manufacturer's coupons on the same item.

Cartwheel discounts: There are also coupons available through their Cartwheel program HERE. With the Cartwheel discounts, you can load specific % off savings to your Cartwheel account and then print out a barcode that is scanned at the register at the store or show the barcode on your smartphone through the Cartwheel app (which is what I usually do to save money on ink and paper).  These Cartwheel savings can be combined with store and manufacturer's coupons for even greater savings. No more than one manufacturer coupon, one Target coupon and one Cartwheel offer can be combined per item.  Each Cartwheel offer may be used for up to a maximum of 4 qualifying items per offer per transaction. Limit of 1 Cartwheel barcode per transaction and 6 Cartwheel barcode transactions per day.

Mobile coupons: Target offers mobile coupons regularly (inlcuding some grocery coupons!). Sign up for them by texting OFFERS to 827438.  These coupons can be used with the other discounts.  See their website for more information.

Coupon Policy: You can see the full Target coupon policy on their website HERE.

Red Card: If you have the Target Red Card credit card, you get another 5% off.

My thanks to totallytarget.com for some of the coupon match-ups above!

Using it at Target it is a threshold coupon and used before all other coupons and cartwheel/ red card. Used on of mine tonight. Boys are cooking steak on the Big Green Egg grill I won right now.

teecee - I agree with Corbin. Your total has to be $50 after all other discounts when using it as a competitors coupon. That's why they enter these coupons last - to make sure your total is at least $50 after all other coupons have been scanned.

If anyone has a different result at North Hills let me know. I didn't want to cause a fuss so I didn't question it. If they take the coupon for someone else I will go back with my receipt and the coupon.

TEECEE-yes I believe it has to be atleast $50 after everything is taken off.

Would my final total after coupons, cartwheel etc have to be at least $50 to use this coupon at Target ??
How about anywhere else ( ie, HT, Walmart ) ??

The last time Target had a $10 off $50 coupon a few weeks back, I was able to use it at HT north hills with no issues.

jkbfrench55 - Thanks for the info so I don't waste my time. Hopefully they will restock later in the week.

Jdouglas - good to know. That is definitely one of the stores that I assumed would be coupon friendly enough to take it. :-)

HT Clayton did accept the Target coupon! :)

All of the local Targets are out of the Swiffer Duster Starter Kits.

Packgirl - that's too bad. Thanks for letting us know. That store usually does not take CVS extrabucks as comp. coupons either.
