Additional ways to save at Target:

Target.com printable coupons: You can find printable coupons at Target.com when you scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click on Coupons. The store Target coupons can be combined with manufacturer's coupons on the same item.

Cartwheel discounts: There are also coupons available through their Cartwheel program HERE. With the Cartwheel discounts, you can load specific % off savings to your Cartwheel account and then print out a barcode that is scanned at the register at the store or show the barcode on your smartphone through the Cartwheel app (which is what I usually do to save money on ink and paper).  These Cartwheel savings can be combined with store and manufacturer's coupons for even greater savings. No more than one manufacturer coupon, one Target coupon and one Cartwheel offer can be combined per item.  Each Cartwheel offer may be used for up to a maximum of 4 qualifying items per offer per transaction. Limit of 1 Cartwheel barcode per transaction and 6 Cartwheel barcode transactions per day.

Coupon Policy: You can see the full Target coupon policy on their website HERE.

Although a lot of Target stores place much of their clearance items on many of their aisle "end caps," you'll also find many right in their own section of the store. It's just a matter of walking through the store to see what your particular store has on clearance.

The Krazy Coupon Lady website has a great article explaining Target's clearance schedule, how the mark things down, how to read their clearance stickers, etc. at http://thekrazycouponlady.com/2013/01/13/target-clearance-schedule-how-to-read-the-clearance-tags/.

Websites like TotallyTarget.com and AllThingsTarget.com also run weekly posts of what most folk are finding on clearance that week at their local Target stores.

Stopped at the Target in Morrisville/Park West Village last night (where ScoutMomOf2's son works,) and in addition to the items they currently have on clearance on some of their end-caps, found several other items on clearance in their regular sections of the store.

In the cleaning supply area, for some reason they have a wide variety of mop refills on clearance. I was able to pick up two refills for my O'Cedar mop for just $2.54 each. On one of the clearance end-caps they had GIGANTIC refill bottles of Soft Soap - with a bonus regular (full) bottle of Soft Soap attached to it, for just $2.14. I had a $1.00/1 Soft Soap manufacturer coupon, making it all just $1.14!! Even better, they had the two-packs of Suave Dry Shampoo Spray (which I love) on clearance for $2.74 - the regular price of just one. Had a $1.00/1 manufacturer coupon for that as well, meaning I got two for a total of just $1.74!!

    Love, love, love Target!

I have shopkick, but it does eat batteries if you leave it turned on.

  • DianeNC Mar 11, 2014

Those with Smartphones who use the free app called Shopkick (for iPhones or Androids) can also earn points called "kickbucks" at Target for things like entering the store, to scanning bar codes while there that you can redeem for different rewards, including Target gift cards.

You can also view and redeem Target coupons after adding Target to your "Faves" list. Don't forget to make sure and wait until you're ready to use the coupons before tapping the word "use", though, as they expire 12 hours after doing so. Best to wait until you're ready to check out, tap the word "use", and a coupon and bar code will appear for the cashier to scan.

    (Thanks to TotallyTarget.com!)

ScoutMomOf2 - thanks for the heads-up about this deal. Now if I can only figure out how to get Red Plum coupons to print, LOL. (It appears that Kelloggs is using the same coupon printing software that Red Plum uses, which I can't seem to get to work on any of the browsers out there.)

Just picked up my son from work. If you don't count his employee discount (which was $1.48), my OOP was $6.67 including tax. Plus we got a $5 gift card back. That was for 1 pound of 93% ground beef, 2 Old Spice Deodorants and 2 Old Spice Body Sprays. I had a $1 mobile meat coupon, 5% cartwheel for ground beef, 1 - $1/2 coupon for Old Spice products and two B1 Deodorant G1 Body Spray (which rang at $5.99 each). My total savings was $19.95 (or 75%) without his discount, plus got the $5 gift card. My actual OOP with his discount was $5.19 plus I got the $5 gift card. I love Target.

Saturday night my husband and I got 2 nightstands on clearence for 29.99 each(59.00 online) with tax it was over $60. Sunday morning when I got the paper there was a promotion for $10 gift card when you spent $60 on home decor. SO while I was out that way yesterday I took my reciept in and the guest services were able to return the purchase to my card then ring it up again and it made me eligible for the gift card I was happy!!!

A lot of folk will be surprised to find out that there are actually a few manufacturer coupons to be had on Coupons.Target.com, as well as Target store coupons. There are a few ways to tell which type of coupon it is before printing it out:

    - The easiest way is to just move your mouse over the coupon you're interested in, and you'll see either "Target Coupon" in red and the expiration date, or just the expiration date - which means it is a manufacturer coupon.

    - Manufacturer coupons will always use the wording, "When you buy..."
