— A new campaign is urging people to commute to and from work with two wheels instead of four.

"Bike to Work Week" is part of the GoTriangle campaign. The goal is to reduce the number of drive-alone commute miles.

People who carpool, take the bus or bike to work can win prizes.

I think I'll get an electric scooter and ride that.

OK, so if you live too far from your job or you don't have showers at work, then don't ride. Just because you have excuses not to participate in this doesn't mean others can't. So many negative vibes people!

I ride my motorcycle almost every day. Much more fun, better for the environment, costs half as much in gas, and easier in traffic. Just have to watch out for other drivers really carefully.

Good concept, studid area to ask people to do it. How many people actually live within biking distance to their job? What about hygiene? Some building have showers in them, but many don't. I don't think I would want to sit close to someone who has just biked 20 miles to work. Maybe this should have been thought about more carefully before actually making it a public suggestion.

    Do motorcycles count?

I live in Sanford and work in Raleigh. I WILL NOT be riding a bike to work. May be I can get my boss to give the week off with pay and I'll ride my bike to the golf course.

I also think next week is national star trek week. Maybe Scottie can beam us all to work. That would be much safer than a bike ride on most Wake county roads

Glad I don't work in Raleigh. I fear for my life every time I have to drive my car in Raleigh traffic. I can't imagine riding a bike - even my motorcycle in that madness. However, Kudos to those of you'se guys who are brave enough to ride & may your ride be a safe one. Now, riding my motorcycle from Rocky Mount to Wilson NC - that I can do.

A bicycle to work? LOL....i dont think so. I commute 63 miles one way (126 round trip)on I95 and I 40. I probably would never make it to work with the drivers on those two roads.
