SUV slams into Cary drugstore following 2-vehicle wreck
A white SUV slammed into the outside of Ashworth Drugs in Cary Saturday afternoon following a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of West Chatham and South Academy streets.

CARY, N.C. — A white SUV slammed into the outside of Ashworth Drugs in Cary Saturday afternoon following a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of West Chatham and South Academy streets.
Town of Cary officials said the wreck happened at about 12:30 p.m. After the crash, the driver of the white SUV hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and ran into a light pole and the drugstore, officials said.
No one inside the SUV or store was hurt. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to WakeMed Cary with minor injuries.
No information about the cause of the wreck has been released.
