SUV hits tree in Cary bar parking lot

Cary police said that a car struck a tree in the parking lot of Tony's Oyster Bar, 107 Edinburgh South Drive, around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, injuring two people.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police said that a Ford Explorer struck a tree in the parking lot of Tony's Oyster Bar, 107 Edinburgh South Drive, around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, injuring two people.

The driver, Roy Thomas Speers, 22, and his passenger, Michael Faircloth Jr., 20, had non-life-threatening injuries. Speers was treated at WakeMed in Raleigh, and Faircloth at WakeMed in Cary.

Speers was charged with driving while impaired and careless and reckless driving.
