SUV crashes into power pole, forcing temporary closure of Raleigh road

— Authorities shut down a section of North New Hope Road early Monday after an SUV crashed into a power pole near Daly Road.

Raleigh police say the wreck happened at about 2:15 a.m. when the SUV ran off the road, hit a power pole and crashed into a yard.

Power lines fell into the roadway after the crash, forcing authorities to temporarily shut down North New Hope Road.

No serious injuries were reported.

    What a stupid headline. Did the SUV have a driver or did the unruly vehicle act on its own ? Perhaps the SUV was drunk. Four door sedans don`t behave in this manner.
