Suspicious package delivered to Cary software firm

Haz-mat crews evacuated the offices of RTS software on Kildaire Farm Road Tuesday.

— The CEO of Research Triangle Software in Cary said a suspicious package of white powder was delivered Tuesday to his office at 1140 Kildaire Farm Road.

When Raleigh and Wake County hazardous materials crews arrived to investigate, Jeffrey LeRose and and his two colleagues to evacuate the floor that RTS occupies. The trio reported headaches and were checked out by emergency crews, but nothing more serious was found.

None of the other offices in the building were affected, police said.

The package was turned over to Cary police.
