Suspects sought in fatal Wilson shooting

Three people were shot early Aug. 17 at the A&J Food Mart, at 6406 Ward Blvd., police said.

WILSON, N.C. — Police were searching Monday for several people in a fatal shooting last week.

Three people were shot early Aug. 17 at the A&J Food Mart, at 6406 Ward Blvd., police said.

Curtis Devoris Wellington, 22, of 109-A Fairview Ave., was taken to Wilson Medical Center, where he died. A juvenile and Cornelius Ruffin Jr., 25, were treated at the hospital and released.

The shooting remains under investigation, police said.
