Suspect sought in Millbrook High stabbing

— A student wanted in connection with a stabbing at a Raleigh school is on the run.

Police issued a warrant Tuesday for Tamarius Dickerson.

The stabbing happened at about 1:15 p.m. Monday in a hallway at Millbrook High School, 2201 Spring Forest Road.

The teen victim was treated for a non-life-threatening wound. His name was withheld.

Dickerson, 17, will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, police said.

    We expect teens to act like they have sense, then make heroes from adults who act like this teen seems to have done. Kids know they live in a world where fame is often considered to be more important than character.

    That does not absolve them of responsibility, but it might be helpful if we all were more aware of what we teach kids, formally and informally, about how to make a mark on the world, how to handle conflicts, and how to be good enough.

    My guess is this "student" has had some prior problems with law enforcement....

    Well, if he isnt 18 cant they arrest the mom??? Then who is gonna support the son and keep him hidden???

    Does the fact that there is a picture (mug shot) of this person indicate he has already been in trouble with the law before?
