Suspect sought in Lillington bank robbery

Investigators said the man entered the First Bank on Main Street at 2 p.m. and passed a note demanding money to a teller. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

LILLINGTON, N.C. — Police are searching for the man who robbed a bank in Lillington on Tuesday.

Investigators said the man entered the First Bank on Main Street at 2 p.m. and passed a note demanding money to a teller. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber is described as a black man with facial hair. He is 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds. He was wearing a grey toboggan hat, red, white and blue shirt, grey cargo pants, round, black sunglasses and grey gardening gloves. He was carrying a black computer bag. 

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
