Suspect sought in fatal weekend shooting in Fayetteville

Fayetteville police are searching for Charles Reginald Murphy Jr., 23, who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in a parking lot on Bragg Boulevard early Sunday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police in Fayetteville are searching for a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in a parking lot on Bragg Boulevard early Sunday.

Charles Reginald Murphy Jr., 23, is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Tramell Rashaun Harris, 22.

Arrest warrants have also been issued against him on three counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

Harris, police said, was pronounced dead at a nearby Walmart, where he had been taken after the shooting.

Anyone with information about Murphy's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.

Murphy's last-known address was listed as a home on Odom Drive in Fayetteville, authorities said.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
